Cause of Tinnitus
Not sure?
What I get, usually when I'm stressed, lay down or drink coffee is the noise your ears make when you yawn.

Like a whooshing/fluttering sound, but over and over and over and it's normally only in the evenings!!

Started about 8 months ago and is getting worse.

Does anyone think it could be blood pressure related? Not sure if I should see an ENT or my primary doctor.

Also, I do have some bad dental issues, could that cause this?

I need to do something soon :/

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. If you suspect blood pressure causing your T, then the primary doctor is the one to check that out. ENT is often the one to see if we suspect injury or problem of the ears. I don' t often hear that dental issue can cause T, but if it is TMJ, then a dentist may be consulted.

I would go to the primary. The ENT is only useful if there's a problem with wax, the eustachian tubes, or hearing. If you get a good one, they'll perform specialized tests to identify eustachian tube dysfunction. But from the sounds of it you have pulsatile tinnitus. I've read a vascular surgeon is best to consultant in those cases.

Thanks Nick,

I scheduled a visit with my primary for Feb 3, we'll see what he says and go from there.

I appreciate the feedback :)
