Do some of you have trouble hearing certain frequencies within the music you listen to you just want to tone down the bass? Lots of bass a while ago spiked my tinnitus and hyperacusis. But I didn't want to get rid of my music entirely. So I downloaded a sound equalizer on my computer. The specific one I use is APO Equalizer, its a free download online.

I thought this might be useful for some people who have problems with hearing certain frequencies within their music or want to tone down the bass like myself.

Do mind when you lower a specific frequency, others get louder. Therefore, just because you can't hear that frequency particularly well, does not mean that it isn't loud. You have to set it at the perfect setting for you. Just make sure not to make the sounds particularly loud (obviously).

This is the specific set up I use for treble:

It works quite well for me, but of course do what best suits you.

I think it's safe to say that most people, at least mid-age or older, have problems with higher frequencies. I often listen to music and wonder what I'm missing.
Good post!
