Eric Clapton on Hearing Issues, Mentions Tinnitus

I grew up in the classic rock era and without question, in the top five who ever lived, Eric Clapton is considered among the best.

So, when I read this article, I had to post it here as we more ordinary citizens share the same affliction with this legend and others who have had unimaginable sound exposure. In Clapton's case however, because of hearing loss and tinnitus we are being deprived of this genius.

Pretty remarkable the scourge of hearing loss and tinnitus escapes even royalty who process sound better than we could ever imagine.

I saw him with Cream almost 50 years ago. They were LOUD. I'm sure the bands back then did not use earplugs, and the most successful of them, like EC, worked frequently for decades. It's not surprising that he has hearing loss and tinnitus, and lots of other musicians are in the same boat.

I think he said he was going to play in concert in England this summer. I was surprised he is going to play, but the article I read he has a treatment, but I hope he has the right hearing aids.
