My main T noise varies A LOT. I'll have hours where I'll have to go to a quiet room and plug my ears to see if it's still there. Then some nights I'll wake up hours before my alarm because the ringing got so loud. I've habituated for the most part though. There's a bit of calm in knowing that the wave of sound will go down again, even if just temporarily.Mine will go away completely at times (when I am distracted & busy--sometimes drugs also work), only to be reset upon awakening. Does yours go away completely (or nearly) to give you hope? Or is yours a solid tone that does not change....that only goes away when you sleep? BTW, I don't think I'm normal, at least with my head noises anyway.
I'm exactly the same!I never in my life could stand a ticking clock in the room. Weird huh?
I hide ticking clocks at my parents house when I'm there. I habituated to my T. Mine is not loud I guess.Maybe we're all magical people that can in fact focus on two things at once! Haha
YOne sound that drives me crazy is loud walkers. I just cannot stand the "THUD THUD THUD" or the the "BOOM BOOM BOOM" of someone slamming their heels when they walk.
