Hi community,

Fish here and I wanted to create a thread, on my findings that have affected MY tinnitus. It may or may not affect you guys/gals but I wanted to create this and hopefully it may help someone out.

My tinnitus is always bad and that's the norm for me. It is no fun to live like this, but it is what it is. What I have noticed is this, when my body has bad inflammation my tinnitus feels like it can double at times. It becomes twice as bad for me and it's horrible. I usually eat well and do good in that area, but I do get lazy and want to eat like normal people at times. It does not happen overnight but the gradual poor diet for me leads to horrible inflammation for me and that inflammation leads to insane tinnitus that is just horrible.

My inflammation is purely from eat bad food, eating candy and not listening to my body. For many years I had no clue, why my tinnitus would just get much louder. Then one day I thought about it and figured that my inflammation in my body was annoying my tinnitus.

I think inflammation puts stress on the body and that stress could possibly aggravate the tinnitus (It does for me and affects me badly). I am a firm believer in having a good diet. I will for sure do better in this area from now on as well.

Having a good diet can go a long way. It's hard to always eat right, but our bodies can thank us for it.

I have also learned, that having a cold can possibly increase MY tinnitus (it has many times for me). I am not all that much into science like many here, but when we have a cold, our bodies/immune system tries fight it. By doing this it can possibly create stress and that can bother some folks and possibly raise their tinnitus intensity (it does for me).

I am always trying to figure out why my tinnitus gets much louder and these two factors have always raised my tinnitus volume. It may not do it to you guys, but if I can help in any ways to possibly not annoy our tinnitus then I will share it.

Take care :)

I am having a really bad time right now. Fullness, very loud, multiple ringing tones. Sensitive hearing. I have to stay in a quiet room. I did have some chocolate a few hours ago. It's pretty bad right now but seems bad all the time lately. Very depressed as it's causing me to think tons of negative thoughts. I can't stand to listen to people's voices including my own my ears react.

What do you think about a carnivore diet? Some people claim that it helped with things like chronic inflammation as well as many others things. I'm just wondering if it can help heal our ears, if only just a little.I also know some members have tried it with no success on these forums, but somethings work for some and not for other's. IDK kinda getting tired of this, so maybe this is a Hail Mary.

All of us and our bodies are different. Some can tolerate somethings and others cannot. I am still on the drawing board as to what bothers me and what does not. It's always a learning experience. If I do not look after my diet, then inflammation can annoy me and for me, my tinnitus seems to get annoyed as well.

I am working on improving my eating habits. Trying to include more fish and lean meats. I suggest that folks work with a diet that works for them. Some folks are allergic to certain things, so make sure to keep that in mind.

I am so sorry that you feel this bad. I am dealing with a cold or some viral thing right now as we speak. Things are not going too great for myself either. Also, I am dealing with a new baseline that is just a mess. ALL in all, I am trying to hold it together and still try to care for the people on this site.

Sugar, candy, sweets and chocolate are my favorites. I do eat them and I do get inflammation and it just annoys my system. My goal this year and beyond is to not have them anymore. When I deal with inflammation, it just annoys the tinnitus for me on such a crazy level.

I hope you feel better, I totally understand your pain.

Thank you for your kind words. I have the same problem here with sugar and inflammation. Ears ringing off the wall. I think it's the fullness feeling that bugs me even more than the ringing tonight . Yes do try more seafood in your diet. I did have a few seafood dinners. Broiled scallops and it did decrease the ringing a tad. Plus they were delicious too!

I check in just about every night mostly hoping to read some new success stories. I hope you feel better soon!

For me it's stress, noise, poor sleep, hunger and exercise that make it temporarily worse. I've never managed to figure out if it's because my tinnitus is actually louder or I'm more easily annoyed when I'm like this...

I'm definitely not willing to give up exercise so I just accept the spike and ride it out. It's not that hard when you're high on endorphins...
