I get so fatigued from something. Either it's my depression and anxiety from this crap or it's the T dragging me down...
Or the anti depressants, but I wake ok and get out to walk dog, then I go between being ok and falling down tired.
I can handle the anxiety attacks ok lately but I'm not sure it's the underlying anxiety that gets me because I eat a lot, don't work out like I used to and still don't gain weight, so I guess the anxiety burns it off.
I'm tired of being a mess from day to day.
Your story is appreciated. Thanks

I used to be on antidepressants. Different ones did different things to me. 3 altogether I think. I remember that Zoloft hit me right behind the eyes, like beer does to some people, and it made me tired. But everybody's different when it comes to medicine.
I used to be on Ativan too.
I'm not saying you don't need antidepressants, but I think you should tell your doc this stuff.
I was stressing out pretty badly a few months ago til I started doing an attention switching technique. Search for my post called Back To Silence. I bet you'll think it's worth a try. Good luck.

For me it is sensory overload...I would like to chill in the real quiet for a while and recoup but obviously can't.

I'm sure the pills will sedate you somewhat. And the constant worry is not good either. It can wear on a guy. I find it all very tiring personally. Can't wait for bed every night where as before T I never wanted to go to bed.

Immediately i started thinking this year and the suffering i have seen.

and what did the specialist ask first when i met them? "Can you sleep"?
i always said "yes, no problem with that cause i am absolutely tired to the point i almost fall down literally after a day´s work, crash to bed unconscious, and sometimes even cant remember how i got come around 4.40pm". Tinnitus screaming so loud i couldnt really talk at the phone anymore since i paid too much attention to my t than to the caller´s voice.... that kind of stuff. absolutely exhausting.

specialist: "oh, you sleep well....that´s good"
-i guess they thought my ear isnt really giving me any problems at all. those were the doctors, shrinks understood my point.
i have been taking bupropion for 2 months now. Not my first experiment with these kinda meds but the best so far.
psychiatrist told this one´s suppose to work differently and has to be taken in the morning. should cheer me up and give energy. i have been feeling quite OK, dont know why but i have.

The fatigue you feel may also very likely be hypothyroid. It not only causes the fatigue and depression, but is very frequently misdiagnosed as depression. I have both T and hypothyroid, for many years before a thyroidectomy. Next time you go to your physician, ask for a TSH test for your thyroid. I know exactly how you are feeling, and have been there many times before finding out the root causes. Good luck.

@MichaelM
I was on ropinerole which is a dopamine agonist. I started feeling good on it but my T became louder.
It's a hell of a trade off.
I stopped taking it and have been on Abilify and remeron.
No great mood lift or change in T. Hopefully in time I'll feel better.
It's great your feeling ok. I rarely do.

I've had that checked before. I just did another blood test to check again.
I'm afraid it's just another component of depression that's keeping me down and fatigued.

yeah. Thyroid is easy to rule out with a simple blood test.

I think i haven taken remeron at some point. Abilify sounds serious stuff to me.
Your tinnitus is still quite new, friend. As i´ve been saying to every new sufferer here: that´s a good thing.
It´s not chronic yet. It might fade away.

My experience is that like in morning the loss of a loved one, or in rehab, etc you go through some sort of staged process.
awareness, acknowledgement, realization, depression, acceptance, coexistence, embracement.
Ill let you know when I get to embracement. ;)
hope you get to coexistence soon!

I am the in middle of depression. I hope I will reach the other states.
@Larry OT Larry. I also have fatigue, dizzines and vertigo sometimes.
It is all psychologically on my side. Side effects of depression and anxiety.
I push me every day for a walk, more is not possible.

@Martin69
Friend.... stress and anxiety and depression can cause almost anything. But vertigo is a bit something else.
i recommend you read this http://www.calmclinic.com/anxiety/signs/vertigo and discuss that vertigo-feeling with your doctor if you havent done that already. Vertigo has so much to do with the inner ear that i would immediately rule out all vestibular stuff (link auf Deutsch) with MRI´s, CT scan´s... because vertigo and vertigo-like symptoms can in some cases mean something serious.
(not that depression isnt serious enough)

edit: seems to me that the word "serious" in doctors´ language mean lethal/you will have visible injuries -stuff.

one ENT said to me: "well, you are lucky your´s isnt anything serious".
and i was thinking to myself : "WTF, this has almost destroyed the person inside me...what"?
doc waited a second and said: "no tumors, no nothing, you will live".
i said: "yeah, sure i will, but what´s the quality of it".

Hi Michael,
After my T onset I had vertigo for two weeks.
They did all tests who are available on earth for a "private" patient where everything is covered by insurance.
My ears, balance etc. were all fine.
The vertigo disappeared after two weeks. It was a result of exhaustion/burnout.
Unfortunately, this loud, high-pitched T (like yours) remained. And currently I have a difficult phase.
I just think it is because I thought after 14 months, things will be better. Maybe I thought, after 2014, things will shine again. Since they do not, I guess this is my psychosomatic problem causing sometimes a slight vertigo.
And yes, doctors are crazy. They also told me: Just do not listen to your T.
I am still puzzled how someone cannot listen to a dog whistle in his head.
But as I have learned, one can even ignore this. Still not there.
Take care,
Martin

@Martin69

I hear you. I'm the same way, but no vertigo. Trying to keep my head above water.
My head spins sometimes. The docs say it's the depression. I try and not think about my future as anxiety takes a hit on me.
Have as good of a holiday as possible. It's so hard this time of year.
I wish you the best and a lifting of the depression so maybe we can deal with the noise better. It's different every day for me.
Peace.

Thank you Larry.
Yes, I think it is all side effect of depression.
I wish you also all the best.
