I love horror movies!

I have many favorites, some of them are:

The Shining
Alien
REC (spanish version!)
Annabelle
Dead Silence
Saw, all of them!
Halloween
Friday the 13th (the original)
Sinister
The Autopsy of Jane Doe
The Ring
The Babadook
The Descent
Carrie (the original)
The Thing (original and remake)
Psycho (the original)
The Funhouse (80's cult classic)
The Fog (original)
Evil dead (oroginal)
Creepshow (had to put that one in there, even though it is more horror comedy, but I LOVE IT, and can watch it over and over again)

Love 80's horror. Very rare to come by a good horror movie these days......lots of really bad ones are getting released.

Martyres the 2008 original version,

This movie is like amazing and horror. Couldn't sleep for 2 days after watching it. The theme and the meaning behind the movie is very very mind blowing.

I love THE FOG! The Babadook is cool too. I want to add in OCULUS.

I am a huge movie fan, especially horror movies. If any of you come around this films give them a try.

Whistle and i´ll come to you (Short film on Youtube from the novel of M.R.James)
Suspiria (1977)
Inferno (1980)
Dust Devil (1992)
The Innocents (1961)
Night Of The Devils (1972)
La residencia (1970)

I'm not much of a horror fan, but the 1982 version of The Thing is easily one of my favourite movies of all time.

Incredibly well written and produced for its time, and it leaves so much stuff for the viewer to speculate on.

Worst mistake of my life was watching it with my grandfather when I was 12 though. Trying to fall asleep after that was impossible

Dust Devil is amazing and very underrated.

Absolutely. Have you seen his other film Mark13 - Hardware? Nothing less then fantastic. I like that one even more, however not really a horror.

Yes, the blu-ray I have has it under the title Hardware. Crazy and dare I saw prophetic film- right down the legalized, casual use of marijuana and the politics behind the plan of the robot (love the American flag imagery). Absolutely brilliant. Definitely mroe sci-fi ish but the horror elements are definitely there.

I played the Resident Evil 1 remake last night, it is sooooo scary. I love classic horror games =P

DP...so glad to see you posting.

Not a big horror fan as I'm a bit of a chicken, but comedy horror works.
Tucker and Dale V Evil was 10/10 - hilarious and awful at the same time.

We are doing a skype horror movie fest for forum members on halloween...let me know if anybody wants to join.

Im not a big horror fan but the few that I do like are:

Evel Dead 2
Evil Dead: Army of Darkness
The Shining
Christine
Sleepwalkers

I like vampire films like Only Lovers Left Alive, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, Let Me In or Byzantium, but I don't they count as horror.

Check out Terrifier if you love campy slashers. My favorite of last year. So bad yet so gooooood

I don't usually watch horror movies because I'm a scaredy-cat, but I recently saw "A Quiet Place." It's about some humans who finally learn to be quiet because if they make noise, an alien gobbles them up. I don't know why it was categorized as a horror movie. Maybe because at the end there's a loud high-pitched tone that hurts the poor alien's sensitive ears.

There have been some really good ones and some were real cheese. One standout which was only mentioned once here by IamCalifornia was "Prince Of Darkness" (1987). I went to see it when it was out in theaters in Waikiki when I was in the service.

prince of darkness movie trailer

Rent a copy! It is waaaaay better than the trailer.
