Legally Blonde (2001) - movie is legit good.

It's October and that could only mean one thing.

Halloweentown (1998) - Can we make Halloween an official holiday already?! Jeez... love watching this movie growing up. Feel good vibes all around and creepy at the same time too.

On a side note, do any of the following Disney original films I've listed below ring any bells for anyone else here?

Mom's Got A Date With A Vampire (2000)
Luck of the Irish (2001)
Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century (1999)
Phantom of the Megaplex (2008)
Brink (1998)
Johnny Tsunami (1999)
The Other Me (2000)
Horse Sense (1991)

I think only millennials will be able to appreciate these gems the most. Halloweentown 1 and 2 were the best ones no doubt though.

I don't think I've ever heard of Halloweentown. I've been seeing ads for Halloween Ends, apparently the last of the Halloween movies. Did you watch those ZFire?

Hey @tpj, sorry for the late reply. I saw Halloween (2018) which is a direct sequel to Halloween (1978). It ignores all the events and movies that came after the original film. It's a retcon basically, a fresh sequel to the original. Halloween Kills (2021) and Halloween Ends (2022) are sequels to the 2018 film. I actually liked the 2018 film a lot, it's a return to form to what made the slasher horror genre great in the first place. I would definitely recommend the 2018 (if you haven't seen it), especially if you're a fan of the first film. It's solid follow-up sequel.

Haven't seen the others yet (Kills and Ends), but I plan on watching them at some point too.

All good @ZFire. I read about you preparing for a job interview and that's why you haven't been posting, so very happy to hear that. I really hope you get this job.

Wanted (2008) - James McAvoy is such a G.

TL;DR:vLife was going well, then I caught the bastard of all bastard Flus and enjoyed a week in one of Hell's thousand realms along with spiked tinnitus from the constant need to pop paracetamol like Tic Tacs

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) - I've yet to see a romance movie as good as this. Sorry Twilight fans.

No @ZFire, Twilight is the best! Just kidding. I've read nothing but good things about that movie but I've yet to see it.
Yeah, would definitely recommend watching this. Watch it and then imagine if that were tinnitus couples.

"My guy in D.C. tells me that we are not dealing with a student here, we're dealing with the Professor. Any time the military has an operation that can't fail, they call this guy in to train the troops, OK? He's the kind of guy that would drink a gallon of gasoline so he could piss in your campfire! You could drop this guy off at the Arctic Circle wearing a pair of bikini underwear, without his toothbrush, and tomorrow afternoon he's going to show up at your pool side with a million-dollar smile and a fist full of pesos. This guy's a professional, you got me? If he reaches this rig, we're all gonna be nothing but a big goddamned hole right in the middle of Alaska. So let's go find him and kill him and get rid of the son of a bitch!"

-Stone, On Deadly Ground (1994)

You show me Regan's double, same face, same voice, everything and I'd know it wasn't Regan. I'd know in my gut. I'm telling you that that thing upstairs isn't my daughter. I want you to tell me that you know for a fact there's nothing wrong with my daughter except in her mind. You tell me you know for a fact that an exorcism wouldn't do any good! You tell me that!

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) -When it comes to filmmaking, the Australians have only one notable filmmaker and quite frankly, that's all they need because it's GEORGE FUCKING MILLER. Seriously, this man could walk up to some stranger's home and take a big fat dump on their welcome mat, no fucks given and there's not a GODDAMN thing you can do anything about it other than bowing down and basking in the glory of Miller's presence (and his turd). What I'm trying to say is that the man is freaking badass and you all better recognize or else I'll slap you silly!!!!

In case you didn't know (shame on you if so), Miller is responsible for the greatest action franchise of all time called Mad Max. While The Road Warrior (1981) is a masterpiece by itself too, Fury Road on the other hand is Miller's magnum opus and it will stand the test of time. It is the perfect action movie. No pointless dialogue or exposition, amazing spectacles, compelling movement from one scene to next, masterful pacing, awesome stunt work, sick practical effects, and of course the orgasmic inducing soundtrack. No other director besides Miller is capable of producing this kind of movie. A complete visionary. All action movies should must strive to be like Fury Road.

The fact that George Miller did not win Best Director in the 2015 Oscars was absolutely appalling and a crime against humanity.

A Christmas Story (1983) - @Damocles, you have really been into the Christmas spirit lately and so I dedicate this movie to you. I'm not sure if the movie was popular in the UK, but over here in the States, we consider it one of the greatest Christmas movies ever made. It's a movie that encapsulates not only the feeling of Christmas, but childhood wonder, excitement, the reality of disappointment, and ultimately reflects on the importance of making the most out of situations when things don't go as planned. And of course, the core value of family. It portrays a pretty honest family dynamic if I say so myself. A hilarious movie as well.

This movie always airs on TV every year from the evening of Christmas Eve to the evening of Christmas Day (24 hours) and that's a testament to how beloved this movie is over here. Feel goods vibes all around.

I know schoolwork has been really intense for you lately. I'm wishing you all the best on your studies and I hope you succeed. Seeing tinnitus sufferers achieving their goals in life especially when this condition can so easily immobilize people and put a big hold on their ambitions will always be big win for me. Hoping you'll have a nice small break from school soon, so you can enjoy the holidays. Rooting for you!

PSA to all —> Be sure to drink your Ovaltine.

Happy Holidays!

Myron Larabee, Jingle All the Way (1996)

My favourite Christmas film ever.

Too many amazing quotes (all from Myron) in it to list. But basically, the guy seems to have things sussed.
