Avatar 2: The Way of Water (2022) - Watched this last week. It was a fun watch. Nothing special narratively speaking, but the visuals and set pieces were gorgeous, exciting, and nice to look at. James Cameron is a movie director I respect. This is my fav line in the movie.

Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) - Funny AF. Nuff said.

Parasite (2019) - This South Korean movie is superb. A brilliant dark comedy with great social commentary on class conflict, social status and socioeconomic inequalities between the rich and poor. Been a fan Bong Joon-ho's work since The Host.

Boyhood (2014) - a really unique and artsy film. There are many scenes and moments in this movie that really resonated with me. It's a coming of age story.

Fun fact: It took 12 years to film this movie. They used the same actors throughout the whole production, so it was pretty neat getting to see these actors/character grow up IRL on-screen. It's a good watch. Would recommend.

I always felt that the dialogue between McMurphy (Jack Nicholson's character) and Chief Bromden in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (from 1975) resonated a lot with me. It's like the Chief is speaking some sort of eternal universal wisdom about the individual facing society and how, more often than not, the demands of society end up changing your personality and sometimes even destroying it. One of my favorite movies. The quote is a bit long and more of a dialogue.

I love this scene and movie so much too.

This is one of those instances where I find the film adaptation to be way better than the novel. Jack Nicholson does a mighty fine job elevating the character, McMurphy. The actress who played Nurse Ratched was excellent too.

Casino (1995) - It's structure very similarly to Goodfellas. Not as good as it, but still a great and entertaining watch. Martin Scorsese is one the greatest filmmakers of all time. Certainly in my top 5. De Niro and Joe Pesci have insane good chemistry with each other.

Edge of Tomorrow: Live Die Repeat (2014) - Top tier science fiction movie. It's also significantly better than the Japanese novel, All You Need Is Kill which this movie is based off IMO. Tom Cruise's best performance, hands down. Also Emily Blunt. She's really badass in this. Also cute too. If you watched and liked Groundhog Day, then you'll love this.

Not a movie, but from a manga/anime Vinland Saga. When Thorfinn, the main character, says this line... it's such a pivotal moment in his character development, it actually gave me chills. It's enough to make a grown man cry, ME. I highly recommend watching it.

I really like the improvisation in this scene. It comes across as authentic and the type of conversation you'd expect to see from real life Italian mafia members having a get together at a restaurant. Joe Pesci is an elite actor.

One of my favorite scenes! I've seen Whiplash like 20 times I think. Even its original short film... Yes, I'm a pasty nerd for this film :/ La La Land (movie made by the same director) doesn't even come close to this masterpiece.

More Godfather. I really love the film series if anyone hasn't noticed already. While I do think Part 3 was a big disappointment, it's still a decent film especially when compared to the trash of today's standards. Rewatched all of them again this past week. Never gets old. Highly rewatchable and very quotable.
