I've always loved Patrick Nagel's pop-art. I actually discovered his work when I went through some albums in a record shop when I was about 16 years old. I stumbled upon some Duran Duran albums and decided to buy them purely because the album covers perfectly depict feminine beauty in a sensual yet elegant way. Here are a few of them + other known works:

This is located in Roundwood, Ireland. A place called Victor's Indian palace. It's all outdoors. An amazing walk of sculptures.

I interpret it as rape as well. Rape of tinnitus. It's always lurking there in the background, when you are moving around you're less bothered by it, but as soon as you stop, BAM, you get raped.

Wow, these demons sure know how to treat the human body like an amusement park.

I wonder if they have a tinnitus inducing torture chamber in Hell. The painter probably thought it would be too gruesome to depict something like that and rather chose something more ''torture friendly'' like feeding people to demons and cooking them in a nice stew for the Lord of Darkness ;P

Unfortunately it was someone we both saw yesterday, asking for help here, that prompted this image in my mind.

I feel like we're those poor f*ckers in the stew telling those other poor f*ckers in the stew how to deal with being cooked alive.
