Hi all,

Over on Hearing Loss Help, I read that there are FDA reports of Niacin inducing hearing loss.

I've searched and searched but have not been able to find any more information on the matter. Quite the contrary. So I thought I would ask in this forum if anyone knows more about such reports?

I have tinnitus because of hearing loss and I've also begun taking Niacin, so I find such reports a bit alarming.

Neil Bauman is a quack who claims most all medicines are bad to ears. He makes a lot of money selling his stupid PDFs. He's a worthless human being who should die in a fiery fire.

annV I really enjoyed your comments and found them to be... great... for lack of a better word. I really do like your style and wish you a fine day.

I wouldn't take much stock in this either. Tons of people take B3 for a variety of conditions and it is one of the most commonly used supplements. If there was really a major problem with Niacin, we would all know by now.

Dr. Berg recently released a niacin product in December 2024.

Interestingly, it contains only niacin, not nicotinic acid. It's surprising that he chose to offer the synthetic form rather than the natural form.
