Fear of Earaches

So I got tinnitus from an earache. I am so scared anytime now I get a cold or some sort of stuffiness.

Some here will say I'm just anxious but think about all the people here that got T from hearing damage and now overprotect and are petrified of further noise damage.

Anyway can anyone relate? Permanent T from and ear infection or cold is relatively rare right?

I just have to think about all the other colds and ear Infections I got in my life that I didn't get T and now I know to go to a good ENT specialist.. Last time I went to urgent care and got drops that made it worse (which I think that's how I got T)... It was 2 weeks before I got the right medicine.

Right?

I have a co worker who got T from an Ear Infection some decade+ ago. She doesn't seem to worry about things too much in relation to her ears as far as i've talked to her.
