wow, really feel for you. Tinnitus is a horrible ordeal and all of us have empathy for our fellow members. We know just how hard it can be, to live with this ordeal. Try to stay strong and this board will support you.

Take care

Thanks , I'm I'm a positive dude .. have to be as a wheeler for so many years ! Sooo hopefully this is just another bump in the road .. But right now it's one big ass bump !!!

The thing about a spinal cord injury vs Tinnitus .. in my case being a C6/7 quad .. is that your 1st day is your worst day .. & after that you learn to live your life sitting down but at peace & learning to be just as happy as the one standing next to you. As for living with T .. don't know what to say .. just trying to deal ! But I will tell you this it will not stop me from going to happy hour later

@ROBBO ,
Your positivity for life will get you through the tough times but I know tinnitus can be mentally challenging .Making sure you get enough sleep will help and see your doctor if you carn't after trying soft music etc.
You might like to go on utube and look up Tinnitus masking by easy jet...
I find it a nice masking sound.
Love glynis

Thank you Glynis appreciate that , will definitely checkout the YouTube .. the thing that has helped me the most by far is being out on the water in my boat but in Jersey boating season is from April to Oct so I'll do my best & hang on ! Thanks for reaching out !

@ROBBO You sound so positive, you will get used to T and I am sure it will seem like no big deal in time, if it does not completely go away. Do you mind me asking how you were injured at the C 6/7?

Masking works wonders for me for sleeping. I have had Tinnitus for 9 months, I do not consider myself habituated, but I am working on it. Still not even sure why I have Tinnitus; like many of us here.

Motorcycle June of 79 .. since then it's been .. LIFE ... LIVE IT ! ... but T is trying to steal my joy! Where there's a wheel there's a way my mom used to say .. so yes I Will find a way to live with this .. thanks !
