Tinnitus Since
2005
In 1998 i had the flu very very bad which resulted in a week long a racing heart and after that there was something wrong with my heartrhythm.
Since that year i had to take the flushot every year because of the risk when i would get the flu again.
This year i had the earspasms and i searched the internet about the flushot and i came on this website :http://hearinglosshelp.com/blog/can-swine-flu-shots-cause-sudden-hearing-loss/

Since 2005 i have mild tinnitus that comes and goes everytime in different tones but not very annoying, so i have to take or not take the flushot and to me it is like damned if i do and damned if i don't !

pls your experiences!

Greetings
Ron

i took mine a few weeks back and no problems.

I'm 41, never even considered the flu shot, try eating right and getting enough sleep, it more effective than putting poison in your body. I can't remember the last time I had the flu.

Not to mention...it's just the flu, it's not aids!

For me its a bit different because the heart is already a bit damaged by a previous flu so a new flu may do some more damage but under normal circumstances you are right!

Hi There,

Since september 2015 i have Tinnitus in my ears and i have ear spasms and a thumping sound that is very annoying.
For a medical reason (heartfaillure) i must take the flushot every year ,because fever will worsen my condition
and the cardiologist said that when i would get pheumonia because of the flu it will give a serious problem.
I googled on the net about a flushot and its effects on tinnitus or ear spasms and i saw some (for me ) scary messages.
Like this one:
http://hearinglosshelp.com/blog/can-swine-flu-shots-cause-sudden-hearing-loss/
And there was one about someone who's ear spasms went wild after a flushot, ok well here is my dilemma;
I had to take the shot in november but didn't get it because the fear for my ears, the flu is now spreading rapidly
where i live so i don't know what to do.

With kind regards
Klara

Have you looked into how effective the flu shot actually is? This might help you decide as well? I think you can do more effective things to prevent the flu than taking the shot.

Personally I don't take any drugs I don't need to.

If I was going to get a flu shot, I'd make sure to get a single-dose capsule (which is typically more expensive). The multi-dose containers that they use many places still use mercury as a preservative. It's a small amount, but in general you never get rid of mercury, it's a cumulative risk over lifetime.
