Cause of Tinnitus
West End show. Came back 2015 vitamin D overdose prescribed
I got tinnitus in 2012 maybe after loud sound exposure. Just left ear. I eventually habituated but early 2015 after a medication overdose ( prescribed) I developed hyperacusis in both ears and head T. I seriously wanted to die. It was caused in part by magnesium depletion in my brain.

After intensive sound exposure done by myself my hyperacusis is much improved and vitamin b12 therapy has helped too. But I'm left with a crazy cycle of quiet day, noisy day on a perfect cycle that's run for 2 years.

It means I plan what will happen now, knowing which events will effectively be ruined. It's so predictable I lie down in bed on the bad day take deep breaths and it goes.

But it's depressing me it's predictability and knowing over 180 days a year are ruined. Please help

This is very relatable. I'm going through the same. I've had T since 2006 and managed to live fine with it most of the time.

I started experiencing these cycles last summer and it was particularly bad in the fall. I just wish I knew why it fluctuates so much. I sometimes believe it's stress related but then it seems to happen without any stressors.

I sometimes get fluctuating tinnitus too but it's not predictable. You may want to look into Lithium Orotate. It seemed to help me by putting the tinnitus "in the back of my mind" after a while. Its like it took the tinnitus I had and converted it into a frequency that would blend in more with music or TV that I listened to. I'm not sure if it was all in my head or what. Right now, I am not taking it because of stomach and gas issues but I hope to again.
