Cause of Tinnitus
mild head trauma (muscle tension)
Hey everyone,

Quick question. Soon I have to go on a 13 hour flight to visit a sick family member. But I have ETD. Does anyone have any tips about flying with ETD and minimizing the risk for eardrum damage?

My ETD is not mucus related but stems from muscle tension in my face. So nasal sprays don't help me. It's also not severe. So no reverted eardrum, just lots of pressure and needing to clear my ears a lot.

Appreciate any advice.

Hi, I know this is an old post. But I was really worried about my ETD before my flight this month and am happy to report I had no problems. I hope your are doing better!

because it's not ETD, ear fullness caused by noise trauma is something else.

I have diagnosed ETD...
it could be wrong, a journalist who talked to actual researchers told me that.

ETD *can be a mis-diagnosis, especially if it's diagnosed after loud noise exposure.

I was diagnosed before my loud noise exposure. I got it after a particularly bad double ear infection, multiple rounds of antibiotics, etc. Tinnitus came after I was dumb dumb on multiple occasions
