For People Who Already Had Tinnitus and Started Finasteride, Any Bad Effects?

I know many people say Finasteride was a catalyst for their tinnitus starting, but I'm curious for people who had tinnitus already, whether they had a worsening on starting Finasteride, or having been on it for a long time.

I wonder if Finasteride is worth taking while tapering a benzo. Other threads on this scared me. The degree of Male Pattern Baldness I am now facing is making my self-esteem low.

Minoxidil and Saw Palmetto (the latter is considered snake oil by some though).

I took Finasteride 1 mg for 6 years with no side effects. 1 mg is a low dose. They usually give 5 mg and up for prostate patients. It never caused me to have tinnitus but I've been scared to take it since getting tinnitus.

I have been taking Finasteride again for about seven months or so, and it has had no effect on my tinnitus.
