Hello Kerel.
Just a quick few words here. I often wondered if cell phones were doing more damage as well as the ear phones and heads phones today. I remember owning the "BRICK". The cell phone that looked like a brick and was as heavy as a brick. It ran on an analog signal that needed great power to use. Today's phones are all digital signals and require much less power to run. Possibly a tad safer than the old units that first came on the market years ago. However, I am not convinced these phones will not cause issues to all who use them. Many studies still being done and large amounts of data collected on all of these issues. The problem with Tinnitus and hearing loss is..... there really can be dozens of reasons, from illnesses, head trauma, medications, loud working environments, loud music... just to name a few. So to focus on cell phones may not be an answer at all.
I know how you feel about these issues and how much it effects your life. Even as strong as I try to remain, I had done research on the best ways of just "checking out". But there is still many years ahead of me and I need to focus on adapting to my issues and accepting them. I am stuck living in small cramped living conditions now with a relative because my total hearing loss has made it hard to stay gainfully employed. I do receive a small disability however it would not even cover rent here for a month if I had to live alone. I would love to be able to go to work every day. Gives you other things to focus on than hearing the noises in your head. Also probably allows you to exist a little easier in your own space. Trying to find a gear to income apartment/flat but that list is huge. I really could end up on a park bench one day as my full time address.
I will not give up tho and neither should you. Keep talking to your doctors and specialists and others in your situation. Learn as much as you can about adapting and moving on with these issues. Do not be afraid and remember this, you are not alone. So many people have Tinnitus and or hearing loss. They say it is 1 in 10 for sure. Imagine if everyone decided that death would be better than living and you can imagine the population of earth decreasing by 10% overnight!! Focus more on what you still want to do. Focus on places you wish to visit or see. Focus on tomorrow and forget about yesterday. In time you can do this. I know you can!!
