What? You can't hear what I'm saying? You must have tinnitus. You need this one pill...

Did you:

Go see a block buster film with explosions and car chases, guns and super loud THX soundtracks? Huh.

Did you wait for the bus to pull up and beep at you incessantly before you could get on?!

Did you answer your phone from your friend who was at the bus stop while the bus was BEEPING?!?

Did you have the nerve to try and act normal as the fire truck went by with sirens at full blast!? Are you CRAZY?

Did you feel like you could just act normal and not get tinnitus?

Me too.

Only, it's now time to take this one pill to solve all your problems.

It's the new, improved...'I DON'T CARE' pill. Blows all your tinnitus problems away.

Just think of a rainbow colored pill with dancing bears or Indians or happy faces on it, and down the hatch! You'll be fine in no time.

I'm trying to cope anyway I can. My post is sarcastic and a warning just like Rand's quote. We live in a world filled with artificial noises we don't need. Not caring or being oblivious to them got us here, but not caring can maybe help us deal with what we have now. It's all in the perspective. Objectively we're damaged. But the imagination is more powerful. So I am trying to use humor to fill the glass to half back up.

What are you talking about?
Oh, I see: "Rand underwent surgery for lung cancer in 1974 after decades of heavy smoking."
But that doesn't explain your bizarre claim that her life was somehow "poor and sad". I guess this statement of yours provides more information about you than about her.

To quote Ayn Rand: ''You can ignore reality, but you are not going to be able to ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.''

Good quote.
Ayn Rand was an awesome writer btw, her book Atlas Shrugged is amazing and I would say life changing in its philosophy, its also about 1200 pages and I know knowbody in my direct environment that actually finished it except myself. I would recommend reading her book if you have time to spare;).

You know, Howard wasn't wearing ear muffs while busting up all that concrete before Dominique arrived...I'm sure Ayn would give the finger to this post.

That's not it. I will let's you research her. Needless to say her life ended up the opposite of her heroes.

I have already done so, and I have no idea what you are talking about.

What makes you think that?
I am too lazy to explain it. I used to be big Ayn Rand officiando, did the essay contests, read all her books, etc from about the ages of 13-16. I soon started studying her, and her life, and needless to say she was no Howard Roark, but ended up being a person he would despise.

Are you talking about the claims that her movement felt like a cult? In any case, it is my understanding that Albert Einstein wasn't the nicest person. This doesn't and shouldn't diminish any of his ideas. I think the same is true for Ayn Rand's ideas.
