Tinnitus Since
11/13
After 2 months of constant ringing in both ears, i finally went to an ENT. I thought he would clean out my ears, do some tests, then it would go away. He said i have tinnitus and just have to live with it. This sux! I am very lucky to have a wonderful fiance who is very supportive. She bought a sound machine so i can sleep. Been working great so far. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to all who post some really helpful info here.

Thanks, Miket, and welcome!! We all try to support each other, and share our personal experiences with tinnitus, and ways to cope. There is a wealth of information here from people who really know and understand this condition, since we must live with it daily.

There is hope, too, on the horizon. One of these days, there will be a breakthrough; I'm sure of it!

We're glad you've joined the Tinnitus Talk family!

Hi Miket, Karen pretty much summed it up. Just wanted to add that when we help someone, we also help ourselves

Hey Miket, welcome, browse around and feel free to ask any questions.

BTW, you already have the most important thing anyone needs for dealing witn tinnitus: a supportive, understanding, loving partner. You'll be Ok.

remember miket theres millions of people dealing with the same symptoms ,if you look out your window your neighbors or close relatives may be dealing with it too .

Today was the worst yet! Much louder than ever. Luckily my fiance was great keeping me distracted. Just wanted to ask if most people with T have surges like this? Or is this going to keep getting worse. Doing my best to stay positive.

Hi Miket, we all have those worst days. A lot of us have good days and then out of no where very bad days where there are spikes in your T. That's what's so hard to figure out. I may have a week of very bad days then a week good day all in a row. It varies from person to person.

One of the worst things about T I think. I'm currently experiencing a string of bad days - which came on after a number of good ones.

Glad to hear you are keeping distracted!
