I will not be one of those who come here when something is wrong, then leave when everything is fine again. Making the illusion that no one ever gets better. I will keep posting my positive stories. I got so much help from this forum in the beginning of my T career. I will do that favor back. So, here we go!

I went on a road trip to Amsterdam this weekend. It was very successful. No problems with my ears or my chronic pain issues. Actually it got better. I kind of got distracted with alcohol, girls, talking, see new things etc. And, when my ears could handle a 20 hour car trip with a friend that never shuts up. They can handle 12 hour flight trip too.

Yesterday I ordered flight tickets to my favorite place on earth, Thailand! I will go 12th of September, and stay until 28th of September. My goal is to continue exploring this amazing land and culture. I will stay some days in Bangkok. Then go to Udon Thani, Sukhothai and Chiang Mai. There is something special about Thailand. When you go home from your first trip to Thailand, you don't really go home. I part of your heart stays behind, waiting for you to come back.

That special place in my heart is yelling quite loud now. I'm ready to go back. This is a huge win for me. I had a long time I thought my life never would be normal again, and that traveling to places like Thailand would never happen again. It really broke my heart.

I will have some strict rules tho. I will use ear plugs in bars, nightclubs, busy loud Bangkok streets etc. I will stay away from some types of street food. My stomach is a sensitive peace of shit. Every time I try something a little exotic I end up with diarrhea.

I will talk with my GP doctor and ask for some anti-anxiety / sedative pills for the long flight trip. Just in case some really bad stuff should happen with my ears.

I will post pictures and videos in this threat, for you to enjoy. Just 2 months left. Stay tuned! :thankyousign:

Some pictures from my last trip to Thailand, just before I got tinnitus. Oh, I miss it so much!

Wow great! I've seen on the forum what you've been trought, and it's great to see that you enjoy life like all of us should!!

In fact i sooo want to travel like you ( but i'm studiying so maybe in a few years :p )

I will talk with my GP doctor and ask for some anti-anxiety / sedative pills for the long flight trip. Just in case some really bad stuff should happen with my ears.

I'm sure it will be okay, you seem careful. How is your hearing now?

Enjoy your trip it seems awesome!! :D

Wow, beautiful beautiful photos @meeruf, thanks for sharing. You have such a strong spirit. I love that you took so many photos of people vs. scenery. Scenery is lovely -- but it is the people that make a place special. I predict you will have a safe and happy voyage in September back to one of your favorite places, and will feel so wonderful when it is over.

Wow, nice pictures and glad that you are so adventurous and willing to share with us your adventures. We need people like you on TT who came initially with immense suffering and then proving to all that T is not an end game, and that there is so much to live for and enjoy in life. Good life can be back. That is a positive message indeed. Enjoy your trip.

Hearing has been pretty good the last months. The T is still there, but I'm amazed how little I care. To be honest, I almost never think of it anymore, in a negative way. It's just there.

This summer I have been doing alot of stuff. Have been in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Holland and Poland, and some inside trips around in Norway because of family reunions and a wedding. I have started to go out in nightclubs again. (Still only possible with some alcohol, seems like the alcohol numbs my ears a little in loud enviroments.) No spikes the day after, only the good old headache. :p

Just 14 more days now, and I'm off to Thailand. :)

I have been to SE Asia many times...For months at a time,,,My big concerns are loud noise/protecting my ears, acid reflux stray dogs, bad ankle and finding work:) How do you add photos to your post ?

SE Asia and Thailand are my obsessions also...I have made 4x trips there, one to the Philipines and one to Vietnam..My last 2 trips were almost 3 months each..Same as you--_ I dread noise, things that will trigger my acid reflux and stray dogs ! Please stay in touch ! I about to do trip #5 in a few weeks !
