Tinnitus Since
quite a while...
:thankyousign:Hi all, Thank you so much for all your invaluable help over the last weeks. I've been to see my excellent tinnitus therapist/expert today and as I thought, I must stay away from these sites for a while. I will check in a couple of more times today and then that will be it for some time. If I manage to make good progress and feel OK about the way I am reacting/not reacting to the T I will be back because there are so many lovely people on this site. In a way it would be great if some of you disappear too (not permanently!) because it may mean that you're doing so well that you don't need the site any more though I know a lot of you are fine now and stick around to help other people which is great.
Love to all. Beth.

Beth, I'm glad you are seeing a professional who will help guide you to a successful state of habituation. It takes hard work sometimes! Staying away from tinnitus sites and forums is often an important leg in not letting tinnitus rule your life. I appreciate your note and contributions. Feel free to stop back by whenever you feel it is not detrimental to your progress. :)

:huganimation: Thank you Hudson, I will certainly be back in the future and I am hoping my first post will be in the success story section. Thank you so much for your kind words. Beth. X

Beth, be good to hear whether you think the therapy works, but don't feel you have to let us know if staying away is part of the process. Hope it goes well.
:huganimation: Hi tom68, I had the best week in years after seeing Tim for the first time so I'm feeling quite hopeful. Staying away from forums is part of the therapy but I'm sure if all goes well I will be back to help others as you have been doing. Thank you, I'll miss you all till I'm back! X

Good luck Beth. I hope it all works out.
:huganimation: Hi adam2525, I'll miss everyone here but certainly intend to be back. I hope it will be so that I can help others by explaining what worked for me and not because I desperately need help again. You've been so kind.......thank you. X

Good luck Beth.

Tim is very experienced and he genuinely cares about tinnitus patients. You have a good chance to succeed with his help.

Steve
