I know it may sound silly... but this time of year, I miss snow. :( I grew up around lots of the white stuff but have lived here in sunny South Florida many, many years. The only time I see snow now is when I travel.

So if you live in a place that is having it's early winter snowfalls, I would love to see some photos! @Fungus posted one a while back of her sheep coming across a snowy field. I loved it so much it was my screen saver all winter.

Happy sledding, skiing and snowperson making!

LadyDi......I'm SO happy that my sheep (and our snow) were good enough to be your screensaver. No snow here as yet (more just mist, rain, mud and such), but our little lane always becomes blocked by snow for a few days in the winter. I don't feel cut-off, more enclosed in a nest.

I love your avatar

Here's a sunrise from a few days back (though your sunsets probably knock strips off ours!)

I wish it would Snow here, barely does. Last time we had a few snow days was in 2011.

Happy for everyone that does, even though it'll be freezing. Wrap up warm <3 Happy holidays.

Thanks for the pics, @glynis. I love seeing the snow!
It was a chilly 48 degrees one day last week when I went out first thing to walk my doggie. He was so happy, he trotted along like crazy.

Danny Boy you are in the wrong bit of the UK (for snow, at least). We have snow every year and usually are snowed in for a day or two.

Here's a shot of two days back....all melted away now.

Snow does seem to deaden sound, though......but doesn't deaden tinnitus:D

It snowed in Richmond Virginia while I was there. I loved it! Had my wife take a picture of me shoveling snow, something I had not done since leaving Ohio for Orlando.

I hope you like our XIV century castle, it was the summer residence of our kings when Mallorca was a kingdom far before Spain was a nation. It's a museum now and has a magnificent view over the city of Palma and its bay. Snow is a strange phenomena in Palma because winters are very mild here, but from time to time it happens, like this. Best regards.

This is a back view of Palma's Cathedral and the mountains, not usual at all though.

Snow??? So that is what it is like all over the world!!

Glynis I loved the son and pony photo. Didn't want to quote it and mess up the photos.

I love the snow and he's off to France for a ski holliday with his girlfriend so looking forward to some more snow photos.
