Hello & Servus fellow Tinnitus sufferers.

Came to this forum by checking up on a Hoax over Google.
Surely enough there was loads to read about it here on the Tinnitus Hub.
After reading a view posts my thoughts about the so called miraculous cure being a fake have been obviously confirmed.

While I kept reading on though I found 3 things.

  1. Here are people that understand my problem and I can talk to them. Hence I instantly signed up.
  2. I saw the link to mynoise dot net ... in several other posts, which helps me now to mask my tinnitus for a view moments by listening to the sound of crickets.
  3. I found an inspring interview with William Shatner in regards to Tinnitus through an indirect link.
(Just google for "howsyourhearing william shatner" and you will find it)
...

Added this Forum to my start pages, hence
i guess we will read each other.

Welcome to the forum.

I love how the MyNoise sequence we collaborated with worked out, Stephane is a really talented sound guy. Hs site has some excellent quality sounds.

Hope you find many other things here to help out, it's nice having others to run stuff by who get what you're going through.

Hello @Elmo and welcome to the forum!
It's great to hook up with people who can understand what you are living with. If you talk about tinnitus to the people you see every day, you can tell that they just don't get it. Many will tell you that they have ringing too and you know it's just not the same as yours. I think you have hearing loss....correct?

You are most welcome to this site. You will find a world of information worth more than gold here. Many of us have tried many methods for relief and cure and have posted such results. You do not need to spend 3 thousand dollars on some machine..... just read up and go from there.

Welcome and we all hope you find ways to improve your situation and reduce any annoyance if possible. Stress can be a killer when dealing with tinnitus so, best not to stress.

Warm regards,

Mike

Folks. I feel hyped.

Hope you find many other things here to help out, it's nice having others to run stuff by who get what you're going through.

Just read the post "An Introduction To Tinnitus" from Michael Leigh.
It's so great to get all those details within one post.

Also, having Neural Symphony quietly in the background makes me relax. Need to fine tune it a bit more, but I am planing to get an animated Audio file of it to carry around with me in order to relax when it gets a bit to annoying with my T.

I think you have hearing loss....correct?

Yes, ... I am sliding into it. If I happen to run into loud situations by accident [ambulances driving by or similar]. I even get total collapses at times on one ear, even though my T is bilateral. My right ear starts to crack [like an overused loudspeaker shortly before it explodes] and the hearing collapses to total deafness. Luckily I recovered from it so far.

Yep. The comic really made me smile
Thx - for your welcome responses.
