Had Microsuction and Now Tinnitus Is Louder and Ears Are More Sensitive to Some Sounds

Kile, in future look into having wax removed via manual instruments (Jobson horne) under a microscope. This is how I have mine done since having T and it is painless and noise free. It's only possible if wax is not impacted on eardrum, so best to have your ears checked regularly to enable this method of removal. I have a little video otoscope where I can check my own ears for wax build up.

Where can you get that done?

Also where did you get the video otoscope?

im worried about my sensitivity to sounds though, could this be permanent or just temporary while my ears adjust do you think?

I bought this one from ebay. Works a treat.

In UK, there are a few places where this instrument wax removal can be done. You have to mention you have tinnitus as they also do micro-suction and dont really advertise the manual technique.
I have mine done here:
https://thehearingclinic.co.uk/
I also had it done here in the past:

This guy does it and also has youtube videos about it:

So does this guy:

If you live in USA, I cant help you I'm afraid.

Hyperacusis (sensitivity to sound) usually improves over time. I used behind the ear WNG for a few months which improved mine. I got hyperacusis after having an MRI scan a few years ago. It's not much of an issue for me now.

ive had an MRI and it never caused it. I presume its just come about because of the disturbance in my ear canal from the microsuction

I did the VEMP test 110db which resulted in me getting Severe T and Severe H, this was back in January. I sadly never recovered.

So will the tests the ENT do cause my T to get worse? It seems its settling, its more bearable now and i think its going back the way it was. Pain is less and less there. But i think its now either in my right ear too or its always been there and is louder there now and my right ear was never touched by the suction etc.

they can. I remember doing the 100db ear test for 1 minute which caused me hearing loss and huge issues with t and h, it never got better. BE CAREFUL!
