Loud noise
Hello everyone!!!

I wanted to know if anyone has experienced that ear drum or ear beats like heart beats , not strongly but somewhat mild kindof beats while relaxing or anytime and then slows down gradually.

In my case i do not have pulsative T and I hear or feel those mild heartbeats in my right ear which is damaged due to loud noise exposure (I hear T in both ears though) and I don't take meds this time.

Was on prednesolone for 15 days from starting of last month for SSHL.

What can it be indicating? Help in providing some info.

Thanks
Afeef.

Yes my left ear drum vibrates sometimes and I can hear and feel it. It's so random tho.. like few times a week only.
I have T in both ears from head trauma.

However I'm not concerned about ear drum random vibration.. it's the least of my worries.. My ENT has checked everything and got inner ear mri and it came back normal.

This happens to me; pulsatile tinnitus often occurs during strenuous exertion, so I think it's a result of vascular expansion. But, in addition to that, I often get twitching/prickling/pulsating around my ear drum, and I think it's entirely a matter of muscle tension in the jaw/face/back/neck.

Further, I bet such sensations are very normal and are experienced (and ignored) by large numbers of people who don't have tinnitus. With this condition there's a normal tendency to analyze and over-analyze every sensation and perception we get from our ears, but in most cases this isn't useful and doesn't lead to actionable insight about the nature of our hearing problems. In fact, this kind of thinking is probably counterproductive because it just increases the amount of time we're spending thinking about our tinnitus...
