Cause of Tinnitus
Microsuction/Stress
Hello friends,

Sorry to bother you. I have a big dilemma and need some help with it.

I've had tinnitus ever since 2 weeks after a loud microsuction, a very stressful period in my life.

I don't know to which of the two events to tie it. I've tried different supplements, NAC, Curcumin, Benzos, Piracetam. None helped me.

At the moment I have days with a really high pitch sharp electric buzzing in both ears and head.

I have days where I have hissing which I can hear only in quiet rooms and when I really focus on it. It is not related to sound. In a good day even if I go to the movies it doesn't go berserk.

What could be making the difference between tolerable days and insane days? Anybody had something similar? I have symptoms in both ears although I only had microsuction in my left.

Thank you.

There is no concrete answer to this. Tinnitus is so complex that no one can figure it out. So many different factors affect it and it can possibly be spiked by many things as well. If you are having quiet days, then that's excellent. For the days that it is louder, possibly have a light/low level sound/noise in the background, to shift the focus away from the ringing.

Fluctuations with tinnitus is normal, even I still have it. I do notice that when my diet is a certain way, then it could possibly affect the tinnitus. Also, stress could possibly be causing fluctuations as well, so it's good to keep that in check.

PS-If I was going to take a supplement, i'd take one to start and see if it helps with my situation. Taking multiple supplements at once, will not really clue you in on what is working or not (most of the time). I have gone this route before and have taken multiple supplements at once and never new what helped me and what didn't help.

I have what you describe, variable sounds as well as better & bad days. After nine years I stopped trying to figure it out (out of frustration) but simply appreciate those better days. I've often said, what gets me through the bad days is the hope for a better day tomorrow. And do I appreciate those better days! It's like a vacation from tinnitus. Hoping you continue to have those better days my friend.

@DevHitByTinnitus
16 months ago I had the micro suction ear procedure done in both ears. It was SO LOUD. After it was done I immediately noticed my hearing was way off and very muffled. Two days later I had a hearing test done and showed 60% high frequency hearing loss in BOTH ears, plus I developed severe tinnitus. High pitch buzzing in my head all day and night. I've had two more hearing tests since the first one and both show same results. The ENT damaged my ears.

MICRO SUCTION EAR WAX REMOVAL SHOULD BE OUTLAWED.

I hope you had a hearing test done before you had that god awful procedure done so you have a baseline to prove you had damage done. I wish you well but it sounds like that horrid procedure damaged your hair cells which is permanent.

@DevHitByTinnitus hi there. How are you now? My T sounds the same.
