Health Anxiety

Doctor said 4 week. Ive been on then 2 weeks now. See inprovements! Just body shakes inside i keep getting :(

When i excercise which i dont always, my muscles shake.

I know a person who had terrible anxiety and had the restless leg and most of her joints were pretty sore. What bothered her was 1 day it would be her knee joints and that would go away but then her elbow joints would start to get really sore to the touch.

Tried a couple of drugs( I think it was Xanax and then Buspar??)but then was given Prozac and when it kicked in she was totally different. Her symptoms kept getting much better. She still takes a low dose but that is what worked for her. Just thought this might be of interest to you.

I have most of those. Just im not always anxipus and still have suntpoms. Today its cheek spasms and tingling, dry eyes and on and off pulse.

It does not matter it is the same with me I also do not feel anxious all the time but still have the symptoms. It's what it says on the site. Sometimes these symptoms leave as soon as anxiety is over and some times they stay indefinite.

Your body is some kind of shock state so in your mind you can feel ok , but your body also needs time to adjust.
I thought I was realy ill with something special, but now I know it is anxiety and my body slowly.....day by day recovers, but I have setbacks also...that's the way it works , but you need to give it time to recover and don't get to obsessed about it, because I've done that and it is harder to get over it now,

My T was caused by health anxiety.
During a period of three weeks headache, migraine, vertigo and not knowing what was wrong with me, I had health anxiety (because I never had those symptoms before). Exactly at this point my T started. Never ever had any issues with my ears, not even fleeting T. The other symptoms went short time afterwards (after some exams at the doctor), but T stayed.
T in itself then caused high tension and anxiety. I am still not over it.
I guess that even if T would go, this is such a mental burden, that it will take time losing anxiety.
So @Lisa Robinson I am sure things will get better for you. Give it time.

what type of tinnitus is it? ringing? what frequency?

what type of tinnitus is it? ringing? what frequency?
High-pitched electrical sounds in my head. Something at 15 kHz or even above.
Difficult to describe. I would say, my "base sound" is a buzzing head like the old CRT TVs.
In addition the one or other oscillating electrical sound.
I can only say, this T is very difficult to handle.
In my case, definitely not an ear problem, but I think overactive neurons firing in the brain.
And of course I know that one can habituate to any tinnitus. :-(
And yours?

Keep getting a random buzz sensation in my thigh, it comes and goes and feel it more when sitting down. Its like a tiny section on my thigh size of my thumb.

mine is much more severe. Maybe around 800hz plus other tones

are you sure its not a muscle twitch mate? how is your tinnitus anyway, is it gone away now?

Seems to have gone today after days of it. Tinnitus is ok. I dont really know how it sounds because usually have my mask sound thing on. My tinnitus is quiet.

Wish i could stop obsessing and worrting about every muscle twitch or sensation on my body :( just MS all the time.

Hello Lisa :) I didn't read the whole thread so sorry if my post is off topic. Anyway after I developed an anxiety disorder last year I also developed hypochondria. I managed to diagnose myself with diabetes, cancer and Sjogren's. Of course internet "helped" a lot. So my advice to you is to stay away from he internet. Even the webpages of hospitals often contain misinformation as they are may not be updated frequently enough. In addition to this, people with no medical education tend to read bits from here and there, think that they understand a subject very well and in reality give very dangerous advice. Also, don't expect antidepressants to work right away: it is common to have a real effect after 3-4 months. And if it doesn't work then you might consider changing the drug. And last but not least: once the drug kicks in you must start working on your fears yourself. A psychologists might help you with that or perhaps you are able to create your own method (I for example combine speaking to a psychologist and rationalizing my fears). All the best and wish you well:)

Wow, you've just described mine exactly. Although I think mines a mix of both my ear(s) & neurons. Feels like it's more in my head though & my ENT has twice said my ears are fine so perhaps me thinking it's an ear problem is actually another thing in my mind.

Hi Kopesy.
I definitely believe my T is NOT an ear problem. Because it was no noise exposure, explosion or whatever.
It just started in a stress (health anxiety) phase/moment. It was like someone switched it on from 0 to 100. From 0 to suicidal T. No chance to ignore this. And if I get a valium infusion, my T goes down a lot.
Of course I do have some hearing loss in the high frequencies and therefore my brain probably took those frequencies making the noise there. I guess we need something calming down these neurons.

My thoughts exactly mate. The neurons are what I've been thinking from the start, I too have no real explanation to how my T started & I too went from 0 - 100. I find it really hard explaining what is going on in my head. Glad to see someone else out there knows though.
What's this valium infusion btw?
