That's me had Tinnitus in both ears since June. I annoyed the life out of my doctors after getting three courses of antibiotics, to no avail. Eventually last week I seen an ENT man who was useless. Waste of time. He just looked at me emotionless then announced the was no magic cure. I knew this.
Looked in my ears said it all looked ok, is sending me for a scan and he said it could be my neck as I'm having a lot of crunching at the moment.

So in same boat, after a day at work where it's noisy my ears are screaming blue murder, recently worse and less of a low hiss and more of a scream.

I'm looking at alternative medicines. Disappointed to say the least. Mine started after I was clearing up pigeon seed that had been left outside and got wet, I was putting it into plastic bags to bin it but I did breathe in some of the fungus. After this I took an mystery virus that floored me for 3 weeks and was off work, I got my ears syringed and they've never been the same. No proof of burst eardrum or damage by nurse who did it. So I'm doing my own research into fungus and viruses and maybe find my own cure. I'm convinced there is a link.

I hope you can quit your job.

It sounds to me like that syringing is to blame for your tinnitus. A number of people on this forum got their tinnitus as a result of syringing...

There is still hope that eventually your tinnitus will fade or even disappear. Unfortunately, ears take forever to heal. It might take 6-12-24 months...
