      Tinnitus started about 4 months ago. I have it in my right ear only. It is ringing and also pulsed.

      Anyone else have both in just one ear? Every once in a while I will even feel a sensation in my brain.

      Also have slight dizzy spells here and there. I would love to know if anyone else is experiencing these same symptoms I have. I would love to hear your thoughts @Karen. Thank you to all and best wishes to everyone. Cole

      Welcome to the forum. Yes @Karen is our notable member with rich experience in pulsatile tinnitus. Hope she will respond to you. I don't know if the dizzy spells plus the tinnitus are related to Meniere's and have you checked this out? If you have that, then @glynis will be able to help advise you. Good luck. God bless.

      @Colestellar ,
      I would get checked by ENT.
      If your feeling dizzy there is medication to help like Betahistine.

      I Have been checked by my doctor and he thinks it is most likely due to noise exposure. I do a lot of recording as a musician and have had exposure to loud music all through my life. He thinks it is most likely tied together. He also stated dizziness from time to time is common with tinnitus And that meniere's disease is very rare so unlikely. His main concern is that my issues seem to just be with one ear only. He also stated that the most concerning issue is that it's pulsed which could suggest a carotid artery or other vascular issue. Would love to hear your thoughts Karen. Thank you to all. Best- Cole

      Tinnitus can reduce your hearing off and on with the strength of the sound changing and then pick up your pulse from your Caroted Artery.
      Sometimes a ultrasound is done to check for àny vascular problems .

      Thank you Glynis. Is it normal to have only in one ear - pulsed and ringing both just in the one right ear? That was the main dr. concern was the pulsed part. Thank you so much

      Hi, @Colestellar ,

      I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing both tinnitus and pulsating, along with some dizziness. From what I've heard from other people with pulsatile tinnitus, it is not that unusual to experience it only in one ear. In fact, I think more of us have unilateral PT than bilateral.

      I have a condition very similar to yours, in that I have both tinnitus and pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear only. In my case, I had the tinnitus first, for over 20 years, before the pulsating began. When the PT started, I experienced a feeling of pressure/fullness in my right ear, and I also had periods of dizziness, and some vertigo as well. It is not unusual for those of us with tinnitus to experience dizziness, and even vertigo, along with tinnitus. And it does not necessarily mean we have Meniere's.

      The good news is, my dizziness/vertigo, and feeling of fullness went away in time. I still have the T and the PT, but I have learned to live with these conditions. Some days are better than others, but I am managing to live my life normally again.

      Since yours is fairly recent, it is possible that it may go away, or calm down, in time. If you are still concerned after a couple months, you might consider seeing a specialist such as a neurologist, and having some testing done. Tests with contrast are best, such as CT scans and MRI's.

      I wish you well, and will be interested to hear how you are doing as time goes on.

      Best wishes,
      Karen

      I have been able to calm it down a little bit by a very strict diet. Recommended for carotid artery reversal. Mr Dr. Was concerned the pulse could be due to a blockage And would also explain the dizziness. Could possibly be pre stroke symptoms. I am taking this very serious and have had slight improvement in the last week Thanks to all
