Welcome to the forum. If you think you suffer from acoustic trauma for exposing to the loud guitar sound, and if your ringing started recently, then try to get some prednisone steroid from your doctor asap as this is highly recommended by members here for T caused by recent noise exposure. Don't know if you should continue on playing, but definitely you need protection. Many musicians & singers have T, Peter Townsend, Streisand, Phil Collin, Eric Clapton etc., etc. You can google search it and the list is long. Some have to stop playing, and others hang on. So it is a personal decision one has to make. But if you ears are very unstable now, it is best to give the guitar a break. My 2 cents.

hi ive had a break from guitar and invested in some expensive muscians ear plugs ,don't like the sound of that steroid ive looked it up so think ill pass on that ,I'm a huge Clapton fan as the two black guitars in pic are Clapton signature models,so ill continue but at less volume and using plugs

@4thwisemonkey,
Welcome to Tinnitus Talk,
Lovely to hear your from Stoke on Trent like me.
Both my sons play guitars and I know how loud they can be.
Im sure you will be fine with your plugs in keeping the sound low...lots of love glynis
