Hi, My name is Missy.
I have suffered from tinnitus for 4 years now. It started when I was in school. We had class in an old house part of the day for lab and this furnace down there was making a hissing noise that only I could hear. It drove me crazy. I went to the dr they gave me predisone. This did nothing.
I had gone to an ENT who said it could be caused by loud noise exposure and that the tiny hairs were bent. I have suffered with allergies for years. Always worse in winter, I live in Ohio. I just recently found this board. I love all the information.
So what I am trying currently. Nasacort nasal spray, magnesium at night. I feel like my eustachian tubes do not work great. I recently went on a cruise in October and since then I now have a popping noise with not only swallowing but sometimes when I move my neck. I did recently purchase eustachi. It is a little device you put in your nose and it blows air to open your eustachian tubes, I have not used it consistently enough , so I am going to start doing that.
Yesterday, I had a high spike in my T and used peroxide in both ears for 10 minutes to clean out an ear wax and then I used the nasacort before bed and took 1 magnesium pill. This morning it is low hissing. I am hoping I am onto something. I do notice I clench my jaw a lot during the day and night, I am trying to relax more, easier said than done.
Anyhow, I am happy to be here and I pray we all find relief.
