Tinnitus Since
2008
Just found this forum and glad I did. Have been reading some of the threads and was uplifted by the posts.
My T began around 8 years ago and was most likely caused by exposure to loud music in my younger days. I find it gets worse when watching TV. It is a high pitched frequency of around 10000Hz which at times is very debilitating indeed. Worst times of course are the quiet moments, which I try to avoid as much as possible. At one point last weekend I thought it would drive me mad. The past few days although difficult are just about bearable. Don't know how I will feel tomorrow, next week, month, year. Anyway nice to be here and look forward to chatting with some fellow sufferers. Bye ......GTG.

Hi John. Great to hear from u. I'm from South Wales. Was up in Scotland last Summer visiting relatives in Crieffe and stayed in Perth. Lovely place.

So how's the night been ive had8 Stella and a nytol seems ok at the moment . Don't want to wake up tommorow (not in a suicide way) just that's it's another day to get through with this shit. As I said earlier I'm new to this place if you need to talk or just vent your frustration mate fire away I'm always here

John. Every day it's the same high pitched hiss which I don't think I can handle much longer. I just hope that when I go and see the audiologist at Tinnitus Clinic that I am suitable for neuromodulation therapy. That has had a few good reviews

Hi John. Sorry been away for a while. Not good for the last week., The high pitch seems to be increasing in volume. At my wick's end to be honest. I went for a consultation at the Cheltenham Tinnitus clinic las Tuesday. They say I qualify for sound desensitisation therapy so I'm going to go for that in the hope that it does something.
What about you John?
