I have generalized anxiety disorder and long term moderate tinnitus.
I have been on Mirtazapine 15 mg now for 2 days. It has definitely increased my tinnitus especially on the second day. I am going to stop taking it straight away and take no more.
I assume, since I've only been on it for a very short time, I can stop it cold turkey? I am hoping my tinnitus returns back to its normal manageable level. Tinnitus increase SHOULD be listed as a side effect of this drug even if it is on the "uncommon" symptom list. It IS a side effect based what it has done to me and others on here.
This has put my off having any faith in treating my anxiety with ADs now. The one reason I didn't go onto any SSRIs was due to the chance that they make my tinnitus worse.
