Helpful Doctor in Washington, DC Area?

Can anyone recommend a medical doctor NOT AN ENT in the DC area who understands tinnitus and is willing to work with a patient to figure out possible causes that could be addressed or pharm assistance to help manage depression and anxiety? I've had no luck so far ... my PCP handed me off to an ENT who actually laughed and said his only suggestion is to go to the movies a lot to distract myself. Yeah he actually said that. I've read Kevin Hogan's book (any opinions on that book?). I, like all of you, am going crazy and can't face a lifetime of this siren in my head. Thanks for any possible referrals. The only one I can recommend you, is Dr. Frankenstein, because now we are monsters like those created by him: human dead in life and adapted in the brain with wires to continue living but who hear the perpetual noise of the circuits installed in his head without flinch (habituation) since they were suppressed the ability to react emotionally to the endless torture that they nevertheless perceive and feel. Did you see something more monstrous?
