Tinnitus Since

Cause of Tinnitus
Birth, hearing loss, hearing trauma
Heya!
I'm Maja/Mija, canadian with tinnitus. It's started, in a way, in 2012. Someone shot with a airsoft (without ball) in my right ear and I got deaf 3 days. Since then, I had difficult with my ears. When I was earing some liquid falling, I ear some «boum boum boum» (I don't know how to explain it otherwise) and I think it still like that. Also, sometimes, I could stop earing and just have this high pitched sound but it wasn't bothering me so much and I became used to.

But, in august, I start to have some ear pain and the high pitched sound became more and more persistant. After some medical rendez-vous, I've been diagnosticed (sorry, really, for my english) with low hearing loss but the next appointment with an orl, he said to me that he wasn't considering that because that was to low. He said to come if it getting worse (and it is) and that's it.

My tinnitus is mostly like criquets and rinning. Sometime boths, sometime just one. It getting worse everyday, so the pain too.

In a way, all this is cause mostly because of my birth. I was a 27 weak prematured baby and the orl said that I'm lucky to just have that and some social issues (and to be small... uhuh). My earing was better than the «normal» but my ear were too sensitive so...

Otherwise, yes I'm a french canadian ahah. Don't mind to correct me. I also do some drawing. The last is the principal character of my book who have tinnitus and the drawing is based on that. It helped me a lot.

I don't very know what to say.

Welcome to the forum, one Canadian to another. I hope your condition will improve. Usually ear pain is caused by some infection inside the ears. So have an ENT (ear, nose, throat) specialist examine your ears to see if you need some medicines for stopping the infection. If the tinnitus is bothering you, you may want to try masking it with soothing nature sounds, such as cricket, rain, wave, fountain or creek. For really high pitched ringing, you may need sounds of heavy rain, cicadas, waterfall or shower or faucet. Take care. God bless.

Hi! thank you for the welcoming :) For the ear pain, I already had theses exams. They found nothing. For the tinnitus, I usually take music since my earing is getting worse and I can't always stand nature sound in earplugs but sometimes, yes it help :) Other times, I can't just stand any sound. Even just respiration (back when I could hear it properly) was too much ^^' But I'll try cascada and heavy rain sound for when the tinnitus are too high :O Thank for the tips, fellow other canadian! :D (anglo or franco?)
