Hi all. My names Alasdair, I'm 32 and have suffered from tinnitus since 2003 when I was involved in an Army training exercise. I've had not one single moment of peace from the ringing in my right ear since. It seems to be the forgotten illness amongst my friends and family now, and it wouldn't surprise me if most had completely forgotten I suffer with this affliction every second of every day. There is no escape. I look forward to hearing others experiences and stories,

Tinnitus is not an illness or a disease, but primarily a benign subjective sound.
Your relation with this sound determines if you gonna suffer from it or not.
There are difficulties in life, but we chose to experience them or not.
I hope this knowledge someday and somehow brings you the peace you crave for.
