I'm new to this forum, had mild tinnitus for about a year. Pulsatile I think. Whooshing sounds when I move. It has gone very bad over past few days. Constantly there and louder when I move my head. It goes completely when I turn my head to the side. I have to wear an earplug in my left ear as this relieves it. I have been referred for an MRI now. I'm hoping it eases as it is very annoying.

Hi Honey and welcome.

I've literally just joined and had my MRI. Pleased that they didn't find anything sinister but a bit despondent as still none the wiser as to the cause of my T

I hope mri shows nothing either. I had a bad tooth absess past few weeks so was taking a lot of pain medication. I'm just hoping the T is caused by that. I definitely cannot hear as well with it. Do u notice if you move your head it sounds different?

I hope the MRI shows something.
Remember to be very clear about how annoying your tinnitus is.
(Saying this as in my experience most doctors disregard T as being miniscule and not worth treating.)
