Contagious T that is really funny. Yet if there were such a thing I'd give it one year before many cures and relief
was discovered. I don't know who Viking is but I wish his strength and wisdom. last thing.
I need to get this off my chest. When one reads articles written by people who don't have T they use words like bothersome, tedious, and so on.
People are dying from this hideous malady. Over 60 mil have it, near 20 mil are chronic. What the hell is going on with our government? They spend more on TV commercials! Run for pres on the T platform, you might win.

May be he is doing behavioral therapies so they advised him to avoid T forums. May be for this reason he is absent.
It would still make sense to write farewell post afterall his case was very severe and he went through life threatening surgery right so obviously people are curious and concerned.
Focused ultrasound aka HIFU/gamma knife (lobotomy) is a **trial and error** game; I'm told on excellent authority. That's why no one is genuinely interested in a clinical trial/study with T patients.
It would take multiple operations/treatments to gain any measurable results. Thus it's a time consuming procedure, and time is money that nobody -- except a minority -- is willing to spend.
Worse, all T is dumped in the same basket. There are obviously T patients in existence that manage to pay taxes, and according to many of them T is *no big deal* if you work on your attitude. Of course, they do not suffer from **killer reactive T**, but as we have learned T is t for some individuals on this planet -- no need to differentiate when you just sell *one size fit all* (placebo).
Moreover, **invisible** neurological disorders can't be taken seriously in our society. Too many hypochondriacs have murked the water of medicine.
So essentially there might be a real treatment for T after all, which is unfortunately **completely ignored** by certain people that are not interested in solving this puzzle (without getting rich on the way). Let's call this **the fallacy of awareness**.
Honestly, if we as a T community don't rally there will never be a real treatment for T. Not in our life time. Not for the next generation. And not for the generation after that. Probably never.
Now go and figure.

Dan hi - Viking has clearly discussed on this thread that he was getting a treatment HIFU. This is then obviously the treatment or procedure to which @RCP1 is referring.
It is very worrying for many of us that we have not heard from Viking since the third week in May but hoping that the reason for this is that he is staying away deliberately - as potentially advised by his docs.. we dont know although I must admit that this is unlike Viking who continued until third week in May to continue unfailingly and generously to give updates regularly and to answer the questions posed by members re his experimental treatment.
However Viking also said that the doc said he may need months and up to a year or more to see the full benefit of the treatment (or procedure) he underwent - plus he was to take up psychotherapy to help him deal positively with the emotional aspect..
Many of us have asked @Viking how he is getting on including '@RCP1 but sadly since around the 20th of May this year we have not heard - and this is very worrying for all of us.
Like I said I trust that the reason is that Viking is keeping away to get himself better and back to full health.
But just to clarify dan that this is obviously the procedure to which @RCP1 is referring.

Can you go to do brain scan.
if you go and he do brain scan he will tell you can he do it or not. there was guy who had money but jeanmonod told him that he can not operate on him. so did dr daniel jeanmonod told you that he will accept you to come to do brain scans.
did you call him, send your documentation and he told you he will take you as patient.
btw I am going there on 11 august on brain scan, that last 1h for 2500 euro... but well i need that document and so on...

How do you know that? Please explain if you have information that I certainly dont and appears that others dont either. Did you or do you know him well?
Why are you saying this - RCP1 has been trying to help himself to get back to health so he can work look after his family and have a good life - isnt that what we all want. If he is looking at HIFU for himself or anyone else then at least give him the credit for trying to do something about his circumstances and health or trying to help someone else. No need for any uncaring comments here please.......it is just not nice - sorry to say this but just dont like the catty comments. Please can we all just try to be supportive and not the contrary.....thanks all..........by the way what are roofies? Dont know that expression - for me roofies are things that go on houses LOL
That much is pretty obvious and I doubt that anyone would be entering into this without doing their own research or getting research from someone they trust implicitly - just the price tag would enforce concentration on the matter.
I can only say what I have said. I am sorry to not be able to explain more. I just thought I would let everyone know (again) he won't be coming back.

I didn't realise they are actually doing the HIFU treatment for Tinnitus now?

Hi all I was doing extremely well after being treated in London. I encountered a loud bang which sent my t through the roof. Nothing to do with trt failing. I am trying to rehabituate now. I have the funds to do hifu but haven't applied yet. I was just wondering how Viking was doing but I now understand what has happened. TRT really worked for me but my physical t symptoms have changed and worsened. Hopefully they settle down.
Yes, if you fit there criteria ... which means T can not be psychosomatic ... has to be visible in auditory cortex ... longer than one year ... and tried other methods before going to this ...
