Here is the revised text without hyphens:
Dear fellow tinnitus sufferers,
My name is Jay, and I have just joined the forum, so hello!
I have had tinnitus for about three months now. It all started when I woke up with a bad headache on the right side of my head and ringing in my right ear. I think it might have been caused by driving fast on the motorway with my window down, with the wind blowing directly into my ear, but I am not sure.
I went to the doctor, and she diagnosed me with an ear infection. I was prescribed ear drops and Amoxicillin. The infection has cleared up, but three months later, I am left with a continuous hissing sound in my ear, like someone opening a can of soda.
I have noticed that when I pull my jaw back, the hissing turns more into a ringing sound. When I push my jaw forward, the hissing reduces slightly. Also, when I bite down hard, I can hear ringing.
Does anyone know what this might be? Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks!
Love,
Jay
