My worst fear has come true, I've been hit with an M-800 firecracker while I was near my open window.

The M-800 wrapper was about 20 feet from my window. I had the windows wide open, and I was near it at my desk.

Does anyone know how loud these things are once they go off at the source? I've never heard anything so loud, at least that I can ever remember. I may be in real trouble here; I cannot believe it.

My ears feel funny, my tinnitus warped. I usually get delayed induced changes (like 24-48 hours later), looks like that isn't the case here due to the extreme dB level.

      Can't believe it.

If your tinnitus is anything like mine, I would expect a spike from this event. My spikes are usually delayed, depending upon the severity of the trauma, by up to 24 hours or so.

I've grown to expect random spike events like this and now just shrug when they happen, since you can't do anything once they occur. Time will tell if they will add to your tinnitus burden or not.

Honestly you can only wait and see. I hope it won't get worse.
