@Natalie Roberts no I did not have any hearing loss. Yes still for the most part gone, baby boy has been up twice in the night and I will hear it just a tad bit, but yes for the most part it is gone!
I only ask because I have mild hearing loss in both ears and the tinnitus specialist I saw told me she believes my tinnitus was caused by the hearing loss and during my pregnancy i was under a great deal of anxiety and stress and that coupled with my pregnancy hormones caused my brain to start picking up the t that may have always been there. It's an interesting theory.. My hearing loss isn't profound enough to require hearing aids so I just have to tough it out and attempt to deal with it basically.@Natalie Roberts no I did not have any hearing loss. Yup she the specialist says she sees it a TON. People have been under a lot of anxiety or stress and BAM! They develop tinnitus.. It's unfortunate but not uncommon. She said its most important to manage the stress and anxiety and you will habituate fasteri think this might be my case.
ahha not that i was pregnant,
but becuase i have always felt that my left ear was a little bit weak for years
but after 6 months of profund anxiety and panic attacks
i develop tinnitus...
I will keep you all informed!!@Natalie Roberts it will be interesting to see what happens after you stop breastfeeding. Even people with hearing loss don't have tinnitus though... My dad used to be a drummer in a band for years and has some hearing loss but never any ringing. So you still never know...it really could be plain ole stress and anxiety which mine was. I am hoping and praying yours goes away!!!
Yes... to me its pretty weird, i was under a lot of anxiety but when i finally managed it, BAM tinnitus came out of the blue.Yup she the specialist says she sees it a TON. I'm hanging in there. My tinnitus is still there and been much more annoying the last week or so. But I also returned to work after maternity leave so I am under much more stress then before. ;,(@Natalie Roberts how are you doing? Is your T still there?
I'm sorry I was hoping yours was gone for good. I started my first period too and it was pretty quiet the first few days of my cycle and has now ramped up again. I think it's definitely hormonal related. Hang in there. It sounds like it's a good sign that it went away at all!well @Natalie Roberts mine is in full swing again...TMI maybe but started my period this week and the t is really bad in both ears.....I'm not sure this will ever go away...I'm so depressed about it right now.
Congratulations on the birth of your baby! I'm going on 4 months post partum with no real improvement. I have habituated to it somewhat but it's still very much present .@Natalie Roberts I was told by my ENT it could take a year for my tinnitus to go back to baseline! For you it could take that long to go away. I had my son, 3 days of labor, 2 days of that with no sleep. Luckily, I was too damn exhausted to notice the ringing and couldn't hear it over my own screams. Finally pushed him out on May 5. Still ringing, it seems less up and down but still louder than it was before pregnancy. Hoping it will go back to my old ringing. Less intrusive.
Yup. Absolutely think it is hormonal!!@Natalie Roberts i agree with you. Despite what every doctor and everyone else says I think it is hormonal also. I just wish it would go away for good! I'm praying for both of us. Keep me updated on how you are feeling
