Hello! I've had tinnitus all my life, but until two years ago it was very quiet and low key. It sounded rather like a cricket chirping non stop. But when I began "change of life", my tinnitus escalated to a constant high pitched rushing sound. The volume has increased so that it interferes with my daily life. I found this forum while looking for an ipad app to mask tinnitus, and thought I would join and see if I could find any new ideas on the treatment of this disorder. I look forward to learning more about my tinnitus, and how to deal with it.

I expect it's hormonal changes Spook. Perhaps if you had HRT or something similar that redressed the hormone imbalance that may help with the T? Maybe take a natural supplement like red clover or mung beans?

Hope it gets better.
