Cause of Tinnitus
Fluid, from a cold. No noise damage or infection.
I don't know if anyone else has this but from a week before to a week after my period I get this odd tinnitus sound, it's not that it's louder than the ringing, but it's much more difficult to mask.

I used to get it for one week every month, but now it's changed to a few days every 6 or 7 weeks.

I can tell it's definitely to do with my hormonal changes, which I find really weird.

Do a lot of you guys have this??

My T definitely spikes a coule days before, during and after my menstrual, it's so loud it can't be masked while other days it's low and doesn't bother me. I feel like hormones play a role. Maybe there are tests or natural ways through diet and daily exercise to regulate hormones so this doesn't happen as often every month.

Yes it happens to me also.
Is down to fluid retention so try a natural tablet for menstruation it can help....lots of love glynis

Oh good, I thought I was the only one. And I call everyone guys, sorry for the confusion

My tinnitus volume increases before my period. It's only been four months, but that is the definite pattern.

Definite increase in my T half the month. Freaks me out each and every time until I check my calendar. Makes complete habituation difficult i find.

Tinnitus is not just affected by oestrogen and progesterone. Other hormonal changes are known to affect tinnitus.
