How Can You Cope with Tinnitus?

Yup...definitely not alone. I couldn't imagine suffering like this in my wildest nightmares! Part of the suffering is people not taking you serious...You end up looking like a useless complaining sack of shit with mental issues.
Telis. I feel your pain.
I have no H, but a loud high-pitched dog whistle which never goes down.
With every bite, my head is buzzing (somatic T). Every morning I wake up, I get stomacheache and my first run is to the toilet. Besides that, some other somatic problems.
They put me into a psychosomatic clinic where tinnitus was also handled (TRT).
I work from home, highly tensed, always need to control me not freaking out.
But I have family, lovely wife and kids. I like my job, have good colleagues.
T takes the best from me.
But there are others who went through this - with very bad, intrusive T.
They habituated and hardened to the sound. But it took them years. I know, every shitty second is a horror trip.
But I believe in there will be an end of suffering.
Or maybe we are really near a cure or the volume is lowered.
I believe in brain plasticity and that my brain will get bored with T sooner or later.
Stay strong my friend.

Man Telis, that is rough. I am sorry to learn this. I won't pretend that my condition is anything like yours. Hang in there man. Seriously, I am hoping you can turn the corner. Good luck.
