Cause of Tinnitus
cleaning out wax
I know I have tinnitus for the last 15 days. Its just irritating and doesn't at the moment cause too much upheaval.

All I do rather foolishly was to put match to clean out the wax but did not dig that deep maybe 1cm. As soon as I hit my upper canal with the match (harder than normal) I soon realised a small buzz which became little louder after a week. Lesson learnt.

I thought Tinnitus is caused by damage to the inner hairs near the eardrum so was not even close.

Got my ears checked out together with a hear test and there wasn't hardly any wax. Hearing was perfectly fine

Just wondered what triggered it or was it a combination of factors like loud music that made my ears susceptible to tinnitus

Tinnitus is not caused 100% because of loud sound or hair cell damage. It's not recommended to stick things in our ears. If you want your ears cleaned possibly go and see a professional.
