With my tinnitus being severe and my sleep poor I have bad anxiety days. How do folk on this forum cope with anxiety? It's good to share thoughts and ideas. I try to go for a walk to help.

I lay down on my bed and breathe slowly, watching my stomach move up and down.

I take lemon balm which takes maybe an hour to kick in but it starts to calm my nerves down.

I watch/listen to meditation videos on youtube.

Call my dad if I'm really anxious (he has T also but gives no attention to it.)

Text my friends/family.

Watch videos of people living in the forests/wild because it reminds me of the things I do have..and that I should try to live my life helping others in need if I come across the chance to. I know some people choose to live a wild life, but some don't have an option.

I have a few friends who have T and I remind myself that if they can do this, I can too.

Thank you. That's helpful and you have a great attitude. I also tend to want to speak with friends or others with tinnitus during these times. It helps to just talk to others even if they can't do anything to help but listen.

I have a sound machine that helps somewhat and I've been taking an anti-anxiety drug for a couple of months until I get used to the T. I've had T for years, learned to tolerate it, but suddenly last December I woke up and it was much, much worse. I'm finally getting used to it again

I have a hearing aid that I use with it's Bluetooth function to stream masking sounds mostly in the evenings when my tinnitus is most noticeable. It calms me down within minutes.

What are you afraid of? Don't run away from your fears, face them. Once you face the subjects you will see how little substance they have.

Try noise masters like mynoise.net to get your thoughts away from the tinnitus.

I recommend to read a books like Eduardo Galeano Upside Down, millions of people are in a lot worse condition than you, enjoying life.

Hello, i have serious anxiety issues too. I am on fluoxetine 20 mg every day, doing therapy, walking every day. I have good and bad days too. Moderation on alcohol/caffeine/cigars/beverages is a good thing to do.
I will share with you a link of a ten hours relaxation song that helps me to chill.
God bless you.
