Depends on severity for me.
Currently I will wait for drugs to come into market. Maybe pop NAC and prednisone in case of worsening.
Month ago? I was willing to find a doctor that would prescribe me trobalt and try it.
I wouldnt bother with TRT or CBT personally. Just not interested in them.
Have to agree, depends on the severity.
How it was on onset, would've done almost anything to make it stop. Now im perfectly fine waiting for a drug to come out, as long as my current level doesnt worsen. As each days passes I get more sure of myself that I should probably not risk a needle in my ear and the potential of the gel messing up my ears even more (Am101). Will probably end up waiting for the first pills similar to Trobalt to come out, unless things take a turn for the worst, then AM 101 will be worth the risk.
You have mild tinnitus right? You class it, as that, right? Just need to make sure. AM-101 is risky, as for some it's made it worse and other made it better, it's a risk, isn't it? Risk taking.
Ya, I would consider my current T mild compared to what some others report having. Seems to get a bit lower/more bearable every other day or two.
Is that due to Habituation, or did the volume actually lower?A couples years ago when I first got it, I probably would have taken any drugs to make it stop, needle or pills, whatever.
But now I wouldn't take a thing even if something did become available.
I don't think the volume lowered... I simply don't hear it as often as I used to. I hear it now because I am thinking about it. But once I start on with my day, I forget all about it and don't hear it much. I think anxiety and thinking about T so much makes it so much worse. Is that due to Habituation, or did the volume actually lower?
Considering suicide. Anything over tinnitus. As the title says.
Don't do it man. Just start eating benzos or whatever, just don't kill yourself. Got a feeling they are really close to finding the cure. Just stay alive for 5 years eating benzos or anything. Take care my man
Yes and it does nothing. That's not true at all in fact suicide is pretty moderate. Better than tinnitus at least. How do you know? Anything is better than suicide Have you tried eating benzos my man
There's absolutely no chance a cure or even a treatment will come out in five years. That's just a blatant lie the T community says to stop people from doing the only thing that really gets rid of it.
My "crystal ball" is realism and common sense. Anyways we will have some self driving cars by 2020, and they will be the norm by 2035. Sooner than a treatment for T.Thanks for enlightening us. Could you please tell me what your crystal ball says about autonomous cars? When will they be completely autonomous?

Well a lot of experts say that there will be self driving cars on the road, and google plans to release them by then. 2035 is 15 years, which is longer than it took for smartphones to dominate the market. From what sources have you arrived at this conclusion? Please justify your point of view and elaborate on your opinion.

Well that's the obvious, the fact there is absolutely nothing for tinnitus, nor does anyone without it care about it. It's just not going to happen in a reasonable amount of time.I'm talking about effective tinnitus treatments
Are you Amber?Well that's the obvious, the fact there is absolutely nothing for tinnitus, nor does anyone without it care about it. It's just not going to happen in a reasonable amount of time.

Habituation is a meme. And those business minded people don't think it's worth the money. At least until there's a lot more research. There is absolutely nothing for tinnitus. True to a degree, but there has been ACRN, neuromonics etc At least attempts to try to reduce or habituate. Going back ten years ago when I first started researching tinnitus, there was not half of this stuff going on.
Those with a business mind would realize there is a huge demand for a highly unmet need and that demand is only going to increase in the future. Money rules the world, there is a lot of money to be made in effective T treatment.

And they will fail I'm sure. I wish it weren't true but that's the nature of the beast. And even if they do succeed then it just cures hearing loss; not tinnitus. Tinnitus is sparked by hearing loss but getting rid of it won't get rid of tinnitus. Only thing I think could maybe work is RL-81, and that's intended for epilepsy.Habituation does happen because my father has it and only hears it when I mention to him (this is outdoors with environmental noise). He has zero emotional reaction to it. He simply, is not arsed about it.
Have you not saw the companies that have started up (Frequency therapeutics for example) that plan to start human trails for repairing hair cells? All this was formed of decades of research...soon it will be going into clinical testing.
As for habituation it's just code for giving up. I'm not going to pretend it's an actual thing and not just a meme invented by (((Jastreboff))) to sell a scam that happens naturally. We all give up when there is no winning.
