Last night I was sitting next to one at a new years party who blew in a party horn or noisemaker. How loud are these? I couldn't feel how loud it was because of the alcohol but I have a spike today, it could be the alcohol as well.
Your best bet is to avoid any and all situations where you knowingly can be exposed to loud noises. Another suggestion would be to carry ear plugs with you at all times.

Thanks Yea I should have used them the whole night. I'm trying not to use too much when I don't really need them as well. But this was probably around 100 db and it was like 10 times.
You mean the ones with the cans of compressed air attached to them? If so then I would take awild guess at not under 90 decibels, I would also tell you off for not wearing earplugs at a party when you already have tinnitus but we all learn including me!
If it was short blast and your spike was caused by the noise then there is a high chance of it subsiding within a few days to a couple of weeks, it could of been caused by the amount of noise that was already around you.
