3 years down the drain. For me time was never on my side. How can I deal with this AGAIN? I protected my ears all the time even when I was getting better but where did that get me? Nowhere! I'm at square 1 again. The only difference is I have a little boy to take care of. I don't know how much longer I can take. I want to be a good mom. But this tinnitus is unbearable to live with.

I don't know. I woke up Dec. 23 with my ears full and my tinnitus blaring and a panic attack. Then it calmed down again. After new years it started again and now it's just as bad. I have no idea why this is happening again.
Could it have been ototoxic medication? What was the loudest sound you got exposed to during the two weeks prior to this latest onset?

The only medication I take is Levothyroxine for my thyroid. The loudest sound was probably one of my sons toys. He also likes to bang on things. But I don't know if that's really that loud. I've been in the house most of the time.

I have had some spikes that came out of nowhere and for no reason. I had also read about spikes like that here. Often these spikes are temporary. Temporary spikes can last for over three months...

I hope it is a spike. I remember when I was pregnant my obgyn told me to take vitamin D3 because I was low. When my son was 6 months. I stopped taking it. I wonder if I take vitamin D3 if it might help again.

If you ever need someone to talk to, my PM is always available. I know it's hard, but don't give up. Keep pushing on with life, machines seem hopeful to help us out. We heard of two people using two different devices with complete silence now. Perhaps one of them work for you also! Though it's hard, try your best to keep on going :/ hugs.

Hang in their neuromod, university of michigan, frequency therapeutics, decibel, otonomy are coming to help us.

This program at U of M is it's trial stage, I hope for the best outcome I signed up for the trial but required me to go to Ann Arbor 3 times a week, I was excluded from the trial as I have an ICD implant. I would remind you that these devices have failed in the past like "Neuromonics". But hope for the best
